When you design a knife, you are applying years of experience, an Artistic Eye and a Vision of what makes a great knife. The Sheath wrapped around your design should enhance the result of your work as it's often the first thing people see.
At SHARPSHOOTER SHEATH SYSTEMS we design the sheath around your knife so it not only looks great but it fits properly as well. A sheath doesn't have to be a shapeless pouch or look like a pancake flipper or shoe; it should compliment the knife it's carrying. "Flat Back" sheaths are what many people think of when they think Military Style. The knife rides below a belt loop so it's lowslung and easy the draw and return to the sheath.
Pouches are the more common style of sheath. It is usually two or three pieces of leather, the body, welt and sometimes a belt loop sewn to the back. The pouch rides high with the belt crossing behind the knife handle. This is much less visible when worn and out of the way when you sit down. A pouch doesn't need to be ugly and cheap looking, it's a matter of applying an eye for design and detail that make all the difference.
